Build a Clay-style personal CRM. Each contact card shows a colored warmth ring around the avatar that fades as days-since-last-touch approach the configured cadence, then shifts to destructive when overdue. Per-contact cadence in days (Mom every 7d, college friend every 90d). Hero header surfaces a time-of-day greeting + 'X people to ping today' + the nearest upcoming birthday. Inline 'Log a touch' form per card with channel chips (call / text / in-person / video / email / social) and an optional note. Right rail with add-contact form, by-circle counts (Family / Close / Friend / Work / Other), and a recent-touches timeline.

Create a family-only contact tracker — same model but the Family category is the only one. Defaults the cadence to 7d for everyone (the 'weekly check-in' habit). Adds a 'family tree' sidebar grouping contacts by household (children: [...], parents: [...]). Touch entries automatically include the day's photo of the kids if any in the note field.

Design a networking-focused professional CRM. Same model but Work is the dominant category and the touch cadences default to 60-90 days. Per-contact fields for company, role, and where you met. The hero greeting becomes 'X people you should reach out to before Q-end'. Export the per-quarter touch log as a CSV for end-of-quarter networking-effort reflection.

Build a 'remember every important date' app. Same contact model plus per-contact dates beyond birthday: anniversary, kids' birthdays, work anniversary, sobriety date, anything else. The hero strip rolls through 'X people to ping today, Y dates this week'. The interaction timeline groups by month so the operator can see 'I sent 12 birthday messages in March' patterns.

Perguntas frequentes

How does this compare to Clay / Dex / Monaru / Levitate / Cloze?
Clay, Dex, and Monaru are the dominant personal-CRM apps — all subscription-based ($10–$30/mo) and all keep your contact list inside their cloud. Cloze and Levitate are sales-CRM-flavored and over-built for the friends/family use case. The FloopFloop-generated version has no subscription, no contact cap, and lives on YOUR subdomain. The warmth-ring + 'who to ping today' hero is the core of the Dex/Monaru UX, surfaced first-class out of the box. Refine the categories, the cadences, the channel set, or the visual style — the closed apps can't be changed.
How is this different from the FloopFloop crm-dashboard template?
crm-dashboard is a B2B sales pipeline — contacts are leads, the deal stages are kanban columns, and the dominant verbs are 'qualify', 'demo', 'close'. personal-crm is the OPPOSITE shape: contacts are people you care about, the cadence is configurable per person (weekly for mom, quarterly for a college friend), the dominant verb is 'reach out', and the failure mode is 'I forgot Mom's birthday' not 'I missed quota'. Both have a contact list; almost nothing else overlaps. Pick crm-dashboard for selling, personal-crm for relationships.
How does the warmth ring work?
Each contact card has a colored ring around their avatar. The ring color is driven by `daysSinceContact / touchEveryDays`: under 50% of the cadence shows the vibrant warm gradient; 50-100% shows a cooler primary-to-accent; 1-2x overdue shows amber (stale); over 2x shows the destructive muted gradient (cold). When you tap 'Log a touch' and save, the contact's lastContacted snaps to today and the ring resets to warm — instant visual reward.
Where is my contact data stored?
The default template uses browser localStorage so the CRM works instantly with no signup. Contacts and interactions live on whatever device you're typing on and don't sync across devices. Refine with 'add a Postgres backend so my contacts sync across devices via a login' to move to server storage. The codegen scanner blocks every external database (Supabase / Firebase / MongoDB) so the data stays on your own per-tenant Postgres schema.
Can I get a push notification when someone needs a ping?
Not in the default — the warmth ring + 'X to ping today' hero on page load are the cues. For active notifications refine with 'add a daily cron that emails me at 8am with the list of people to ping today via Resend' (the codegen wires the cron + the SQL filter + the email template in one round). For phone push: 'add a service worker + Web Push subscription so my phone gets a notification when any contact goes cold'.
How do birthdays work?
Each contact has an optional birthday field (YYYY-MM-DD). The hero strip surfaces the nearest upcoming birthday in the next 30 days with a relative countdown ('Mom's birthday in 3 days 🎂'). Feb 29 birthdays automatically roll to Mar 1 in non-leap years so they still surface annually. Refine with 'show every birthday in the next 90 days as a sidebar widget' if you want a longer planning window — the upcomingBirthdays() helper accepts a configurable window parameter.
What if I have 500+ contacts (real friends + acquaintances)?
The grid scales — there's no hard cap. Past ~50 contacts the recommended refine is 'add a category filter so I can view just Family or just Work at a time', which keeps the dashboard scannable. The localStorage budget is generous (5MB+ in every browser); a single contact record is ~400 bytes plus 200 bytes per interaction, so the storage layer comfortably handles 10,000+ contacts and 100,000+ interactions before quota becomes the bottleneck.
