What are attachments?
Attachments let you add files to a prompt so the AI can reference them when building or refining your project. You can attach a screenshot of a design you want to copy, a PDF brief with requirements, a CSV with sample data, or a Word document with copy you want to use verbatim.
Attachments are available both on the homepage prompt (when creating a new project) and in the chat input on any project page (when sending a refinement).
Supported file types
- Images — PNG, JPEG, GIF, SVG, WebP, ICO
- Documents — PDF, DOC, DOCX
- Text & data — TXT, CSV
Long text prompts are also automatically converted to .txt attachments when they exceed the inline size limit, so nothing gets truncated.
Limits
- Up to 5 files per message
- Maximum 5 MB per file
- Maximum 20 MB total across all attachments in one message
How to attach files
- Click the paperclip icon next to the prompt input.
- Select files from your computer, or drag and drop them onto the input area.
- Image attachments show a thumbnail preview; documents show the file name and size.
- Remove an attachment with the X button on its preview before sending.
Tips for using attachments effectively
- Reference attachments in your prompt— Say "use this layout" or "match the style in the screenshot" so the AI knows what to do with the file.
- Crop screenshots— Smaller, focused images give better results than full-page captures.
- Use CSV for sample data— If you want the AI to generate a UI for specific columns, attach a CSV with a few example rows.
