Getting Started

Creating a Project

How to describe your idea, choose a subdomain, and launch your first project.

Writing your prompt

The prompt is the most important part of creating a project. It tells FloopFloop exactly what to build. You can write your prompt on the homepage — just start typing in the large text field.

A good prompt includes:

  • What the project is — A landing page, a dashboard, a trading bot, an API, etc.
  • Key features — What should the project do? List the main features and functionality.
  • Design preferences — Colors, layout style, dark mode, specific UI elements.
  • Data and content — What information should be displayed or managed?

Example prompts

Here are a few examples of effective prompts:

Website example

"A sleek SaaS landing page with a hero section, feature grid with icons, pricing table with three tiers, FAQ accordion, and a waitlist signup form. Use a dark theme with purple accents."

Web app example

"An inventory management app with a product catalog, stock levels with color-coded alerts, low-stock notifications, and a dashboard showing sales trends with charts."

Bot example

"A crypto dashboard that tracks BTC and ETH prices in real time, shows RSI indicators, and lets me configure DCA strategies with live charts."

Choosing a subdomain

Every project needs a unique subdomain. This becomes your project's URL: yourname.floop.tech. The subdomain checker on the homepage validates your choice in real time and shows you whether it is available.

Subdomain rules:

  • Must be between 3 and 63 characters long.
  • Can only contain lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens.
  • Cannot start or end with a hyphen.
  • Some subdomains are reserved (like www, api, admin) and cannot be used.

Public or private access

Before building, you choose whether your project is private or public:

  • Private (default) — Only you can access the project. Visitors must log in with your credentials.
  • Public — Anyone with the link can view the project. No login required.

You can change this setting later in your project's settings page.

Signing in

You need an account to create projects. If you are not signed in when you click "Build It," FloopFloop saves your prompt and redirects you to the sign-in page. After signing in, your project is created automatically — nothing is lost.
